All meetings of the TOTBIA are being Live Streamed on the BIA’s website in accordance with the Town’s Live Streaming of Meetings Policy.
An In Camera session is anticipated to take place in accordance with Section 239 (2)(d) the Municipal Act, 2001, which permits a meeting may be closed to the public if the following conditions are satisfied:
(b) personal matter about an identifiable individual including municipal or local board employees;
(d) labour relations or employee negotiations.
A reporting out of this closed session will occur in open session.
Appearing before Council
While meetings are open to the public, the BIA recognizes that not everyone can attend in person. Live Streaming gives all community members the opportunity to watch and listen to meetings, either in real time or at their convenience, giving greater access to decision-making and debate.
If you wish to appear as a delegation at the meeting or provide written comments, please view the Town's Appearing at Council page for full details. You must register as a delegate or provide written comments by 12 noon on the Thursday prior to the meeting.
By attending a Meeting, attendees are consenting to their image, voice and comments being recorded and available for public viewing on the BIA's website.
The Chair and/or Administration have the discretion and authority at any time to direct the termination or interruption of Live Streaming if inappropriate material is or may be presented at the Meeting.
While the TOTBIA will make every effort to ensure that Live Streaming is available, it takes no responsibility for, and cannot be held liable for technical issues beyond its control. Technical issues may include, but are not limited to, the availability of the internet connection, device failure or malfunction, unavailability of social media platforms, or power outages.
